An Introduction

Today is not a special day; it’s not my birthday, no child has told me I’m old, and no tragic event has happened to make me realize my own mortality, today is just an ordinary day on which I decided to make yet another list. Yet another 30 by 30 list. Today I am 24 and some odd months, though I feel I have achieved a lot of things already I am ready to do more and this time, to have the immense satisfaction of also checking them off a list! My 30 by 30 list is not yet finished because I am certain that I will have more goals to add over the next six years and some things may even get replaced by things I want to do more, so don’t hold me to my word too much. For now, please enjoy 24 things I have already achieved: Lived in the UK, lived at a ski resort, learned Spanish, traveled on my own, traveled to South America, traveled to Central America, snowboarded in the Alps, went island hopping in Greece, fell in love, went to Las Vegas for my 21st birthday, went dog sledding, took a road trip down the West coast of the USA, went to the Harry Potter studio tour, swam with sharks, went spelunking, swam in cenotes, searched for Nessie in Loch Ness, saw the Eiffel Tower sparkle, went to see lucha libre in Mexico, tried a Cuban cigar on a tobacco plantation in Cuba, wine tasted in Argentina, went tequila tasting in Tequila, became an active member of Greenpeace, discovered who I am (at least partially).
Even just reading back on all of these things I have done so far it amazes me how many things I have checked off my ‘bucket list’ already without even realizing. I am hoping that my list of 30 will be challenging with a few achievable yet satisfying items (like buying myself some fancy sheets) and to achieve the ultimate challenge of maintaining a blog for SIX years! Mostly, I hope that this project will remind me that I have achieved a lot and will continue to do so and that I should be proud of myself, something I often forget. Wish me luck!
